This was a fun stop over and I would certainly visit again. Staff were friendly and helpful and the dealers were congenial and entertaining. It also seemed that they had a daily 7:00 p.m. Cash games were running on waiting lists most of the time I was there but players filtered through quickly. One of the areas that is reported to being expanded is the poker room which is of small to moderate size. Of course there were also tables in the $50 minimum bet range and a high roller section. There are plenty of penny slots and even on the weekend there were table games available in the $5 and $10 range. This is a good casino for those who like to play lower limit games. Drinks at the tables were $1 for beer and $2 for liquor. There are a variety of restaurants on site and the prices were quite reasonable. I am a non-smoker but was not bothered at all by the smoking. Smoking is allowed inside but the are non-smoking sections. The casino is not overly large but I understand that significant renovations and additions are in the works. The hotel rooms are quite spacious and I would recommend it. We stayed at the Comfort Inn which although not connected is less than a two-minute walk away. The casino is an easy drive from Ottawa (2 hrs with construction on the bridge).
